A perfect stormy hike along the Lizard coast, the southernmost point of the UK. Black stone and a sea of white made this probably one of the most dramatic hikes we ever made. We followed the coastal path from the lighthouse towards Church cove, walked into the village of Lizard and then hoped to grab a well earned lunch at the Kynance Cafe at Kynance Cove. We were hungry and cold when we finally reached this amazing spot. There was no beach as the tide was high and the storm made it impossible to get even near the cottage. Luckily we saw it was closed before we even tried. Instead we ate our shortbread cookies sitting on a rock watching the rough water. Just before it got dark we followed the coastal path back to the lighthouse. Halfway it started to snow. No, not the real deal. The fluffy flakes were formed by sea foam and created a surreal scenery. A white Holiday Season after all!
