You wont say, but Khan Market in Delhi is the most expensive when it comes to real estate. The exterior of most buildings is not – how should I put this – as pretty as Louis Vuitton in Paris, but definitely holds some treasures once you get inside. In fact, it’s one of my favorite areas in Delhi to shop, lunch, have coffee and get a decent head massage and manicure. Let’s start with one of my beloved combo-spots: Turtle Cafe, a book shop and tea bar in one. Buying classics and reading on yoga while sipping on a herbal tea and eating a home made scone, what fun! I have to admit we once spent 4 hours in this place, rifling through the piles and piles of books to take with us on a 25 hour train ride. Another favorite: Latitude cafe inside Good Earth on the outside corner of Khan Market. Love the interior, especially the annex serre, love the food and what’s even better, everything you use (plates, cups and cutlery) can be bought in the shop downstairs after you’ve finished. Make sure to order the home made Nimbu Pani, Delicious! Last but not least: The Big Chill. I never really was into milkshakes, but ever since we got stuck in Delhi (volcano-trouble) I’m hooked on the cookie one! Add a pizza slice or garlic bread and all those kilos you lost while traveling are happy to come back!
