The great thing about Wyoming is, that it not only has Yellowstone National Park, but Grand Teton National Park as well: A beautiful area with one of the most impressive mountain views we’ve ever seen. We drove the scenic Route 191 from Yellowstone to Jacksonville (where we stayed in one of the most beautiful hotels ever…more about that later).
Of course after Yellowstone, you might think you’ve seen it all and nothing can beat the Lower Falls, Clear Lake or Grand Prismatic Spring, but the scenery along this route is really beautiful. Especially somewhere halfway between Yelowstone and Jackson…probably after one hour, you look right and then… Bam! You see the Tetons on your right, covered in snow, like a gigantic wall protecting something magical. The road offers enough places to stop, so our advice is to plan enough time for a picnic and breathe in the fresh mountain air. If you’re driving an RV, like we did, it’s the perfect spot to make a fresh pot of coffee and enjoy the view from your temporary home. (it will probably never get better than this…)
