Remember when I was telling you about our road trip from Delhi to Kashmir? We stayed in a tented camp in Sarchu, didn’t get sick at Gata Loops and stayed in Leh before we continued our drive to Kashmir. I can promise you, the closer you get to the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus river, the more overwhelming the scenery gets. Grey and sand colored rock formations that turn gold when the sun starts to set. And then, in the middle of it all, a green river that from up close is as beige as its surroundings. Calm at first, but a little further down the road this lovely stream turns into a wild river that is definitely worth rafting on! (yes we did that, more about it later!)
