We were surprised to learn that Belfast has so many more food options than the local pub. A short stroll from our hotel we stumbled upon a cosy yet chic eatery. And to make it even better, once inside you could choose to sit on the right side of the restaurant in the more haute cuisine area, or on the left side where they serve a tapas menu.
The restaurant is called Deanes Deli, after the famous Irish chef Michael Deane who won a lot of awards. Earlier that night we learned that he has a few restaurants (by ending up in the wrong one first). We opted for the cosy tapas area where we enjoyed a surprise menu of small dishes and great wines. If you only have a few nights in Belfast make sure to book a table here. If you stay longer, try them all! D-E-Licious!
