Some things are always high on your wish list. The Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia Canada – and Nova Scotia in itself – was one of those things for us. Last year we got a chance to fly to Halifax and drive this amazing trail. It’s beautiful. We started the 298 kilometer route early in the morning. Frost had left a diamond-like blanket over the trees, the grass and the lake shores and at sunrise everything started to shimmer. And it wasn’t just that…it was totally, absolutely quiet. No one else, no other cars, nobody. I think we were lucky visiting the trail just off-season. During peak season the trail can get pretty busy and even some popular hikes – like the Skyline Trail – gets a little crowded. So, our advice: plan your trip for mid-October and enjoy the beauty of this amazing road trip.
