Before I tell you more about the Serengeti, I want to share a few Ngorongoro memories with you. The first took place when we were having a picnic on the shore of a little lake. A group of schoolchildren on a trip were enjoying their sandwiches and drum sticks but had no idea big birds were eying their lunch for a while. As soon as they turned their backs, the chicken drum sticks were high up in the air. Then there was the rhino. We spotted it from far away and stayed on the side of the road to see if he would start walking. One by one we looked through the binoculars to see it’s horn sticking out of the tall grass, but apart from a few head shakes, there was no movement. Last but not least we met with a few hyenas who were as mean looking as I thought they would be. Even when sleeping and cuddling together they look far from cute. Tomorrow I hope to show you some Serengeti images.
