The Nova Scotia South Coast vs The cabot Trail? The Cabot Trail might be the most impressive drive on Nova Scotia, but we loved driving along the south coast too. You will pass lots of historical towns and beautiful scenery. Lakes surrounded by pines with picture perfect jetties and old wooden boats make for the perfect picnic-stop. Buy a sandwich and smoothie at The Kiwi Cafe in Chester and find yourself a quiet spot near Mahone Bay. There’s no better way to spend the day…

It’s so true, the Cabot Trail might be the star but there’s so much more to see! If you’re back in NS, I highly recommend Brier Island, way out at the end of the Digby Neck.
Thanks for the input. We surely hope to come back one day!
